Mods -I realise there's a thread for Scratch Cups but i think this deserves a thread of its own. Feel free to merge if you think otherwise.

Ballybunion Intermediate Scratch Cup on next Sunday -28th April for €45:):). Loads of slots in the afternoon and still a few single slots in the morning. Unbeatable value...

And they don't take bookings/payment over the phone for this comp. Very frustrating.

Got going yesterday anyway. Shot an 84, won best net with 69.
Course was in great shape bar the few tee off matts.
Was disappointed with the 3 x 3 putts I had.

How did any of the members on here get on?

Great shooting cj! Fantastic course for a fantastic price, All the locals were really down to earth & friendly. Seafood Chowder afterwards to die for:).
The sound of the waves crashing behind the towering dunes on 17th with blue sky breaking through...ahhhh...utter & sheer joy. Best of all it was my son's first real forray onto a links course. A very kind member of Lahinch GC made our day also by enabling us to play together.
    Cracking day out.

Cheers Beaulieu. I enjoyed it. Ya I also thought all the locals were sound. The 2 locals I played with were very apologetic about visitors having to play off a few matts. The captain and everyone at the presentation last night were very nice too.

I actually played with that Lahinch member!! Nice golfer too. Easy to tell he has a lot of links golf played. I shot a 92 and actually felt I didn't play too bad. Had about five 3 putts and missed a few 3 footers. The fairways are still very bare though but you can't blame the golf club for that.....just no growth at the moment.
