I am looking for a second hand 18" Hardtail MTB suitable for doing a few XC races.

I could have something that might suit. Do you have an idea on bike size? Whats your budget?

    I think 18", I fall between a 54 and 56 on road bikes. 5ft 10/11 .
Regarding budget, On a second hand bike I don't want to spend more then 1,000Euro as I can get a suitable new bike for close to that amount.

I've a Ragley TD-1, it's a Rigid Specific 29er Titanium Frame Medium with On One Style Carbon forks. It's an XC racer but you need to pick your lines. I've been using it for 6 months but mainly with slicks on the road as I'm now more into Trail riding. Would part with it grudgingly for €1000 not a penny less. Also it's a simple build 1x9 could change it to 1x10 and comes with Bontrager Rhythm Wheels.
