me friends n I are planning to drive up to belfast in the beginning of May, my car is registered in Ireland and subsequently its got an Irish registration plate lol (Im NOT Irish) (duh), is it safe to do so? cos we'll be staying in a hotel in the loyalist area, would the orange teen scumbags smack me windows and have the pink car paint done when we head for breakfast in d morning?....is it worth the risk for convenience or we'd be better off taking the bus?

I go up all the time, never had any problems. Not as much as a second glance.

Just don't go on July 12th

Oh come on, this isn't the 1980s. Just come back from Belfast myself - officially the safest city in the world for tourists.

Pyongyang is the worlds safest city for Tourists. You get a personal guide attached and are under surveillance and everything is about showing the great system of the DPRK. Insane Weirdness yes but it is the worlds safest tourist city.
