VRT Error on V5

I recently bought a truck and have to get it vrt'd flat rate of 200 quid. However i noticed one letter in the vin number section on the v5 is incorrect, Its an E instead of F. The vin plate and the vin stamp all match, and the engine number matches the v5, as does all the other information. Im presuming the dvla cocked up…

Im presuming the dvla cocked up day one when registering it and it was never picked up.
It was a one owner, major state owned company in uk that owned it, just wondering whats the story now? apply for correct v5 in uk (dont think i can as i am not registered owner) or let revenue tell me what to do??

anyone have this issue before?
