Anyone do their own re-gripping, re-shafting etc?
Can anyone recommend a good shaft extractor tool, epoxy (I do have plenty here anyway), shafting beads etc. I might just buy them from golfsmiths to be safe, but there might be better value locally.
Any other tips is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Senna,#
I reshafted my burner 2.0's with kbs tour last year.I used an industrial epoxy for mine.To get the old shafts out i used a heat gun on the hosel, clamped the shaft in a vice and the heads just twisted off.I then cleand out the hosel with some sandpaper and fitted the new ones. The thing you might need is new ferrules as the old ones wont be able to be reused.I regrip all my own clubs too and find it easy to do.

I've reshafted a few clubs in th past.
For steel shafts I didn't need a puller, I just heated up the heads with a heat gun, When they are hot enough I wrap them in an old towel then stand on the head and twist the shaft out.
For graphite you will need a vice and some kind of puller. The least bit of twisting ruins a graphite shaft (I learned the hard way).
I got a cheap vice from Lidl and a small prybar, I filed down the end of the prybar to widen the notch to fit around the end of the shaft, heted up the head and then pried it off.
For epoxy I use Araldite Blue two part epoxy, can get it in most hardware shops.

If you want to get the proper tools then Gamola golf in the UK sell most of what you need.
I have only bought grips from them in the past and they were reliable.
There is also a company called Nordica golf who sell some clubmaking stuff too - I have never dealt with them though.

FWIW I have bought from Nordica Golf and service was quick and good.
