    Hi Guys,

I'm selling my 4x4 commercial and my ford mondeo as i am buying a 4x4 with a crew cab so I can carry passengers. I bought the mondeo to bring the kids around as i couldnt carry them in the commercial 4x4 but now money is tight and I need to get rid of both and buy something practical.
Can anyone suggest a good crewcab with a decent cover on the back!! I have seen some crewcabs and the covers look terrible. I would need to stay with a 4x4 and tax and insure commercially.

    Cheers

Some 4x4 passenger yokes can now be taxed and insured commercially, a friend bought a new Disco and it qualifies. He was delighted, the silver lining on his 2007 disco commercial dieing on him. He deliberating changing it last year for a 2012 one.

I really like the Discovery 2 or 3, how do I find out if this jeep can be taxed and insured commercially?? I was told by a friend a while back that it was possible.

I think it's only the discovery 3 that you can do this have 5 seats and still tax insure it comercially as far as I know its not possible to do this with the discovery 2 as the rear load space was not big enough I could be wrong though. You could go down the road of a navara if you didn't want to buy something as new as a discovery 3.

Yeah I was looking at the Navara but some of the covers weren't great and don't want the flat back!!!! Which 4x4 is more reliable considering it won't get any hardship.

My dad had a brand new navara in early 2006 one of the first into Ireland. And it was a good jeep very reliable and caused no problems in the 2 years we had it. It's not going to be as nice as a discovery 3 but then there's a huge price difference.

Hi haven't looked too closely at a Hilux, have been looking at more the Discovery or Pathfinder.

Maybe a bit more info on what you need the loading space for exactly? Are you looking for new or used? Price range?

Loading space not really an issue, once it's 4x4 and Im probably looking at trading in a 07 Pajero sport and 03 mondeo against something.
