Ignition barrel problem

Hey folks, Any thoughts on how big a deal it is to get an ignition barrel fixed? 04 A3 Tdi. The key (or spare key) wont go into the ignition. It first happened last week, then while trying it just went in no problem, but its raised its ugly head again today... Any thoughts? Cheers

The barrel will have to be ordered from the dealer. They are around €100 and will come pre made to fit your existing key. It is easy to change it over once you know how so not a big job for a garage.
