My 00 D opel corsa has oil leaking out badly from the drivers side of the engine somewhere. Any idea what it could be?
I was on my way back from Carlow and the oil light came on and flashed a few times then went off, it flashed when I wasn't driving on the car, when I coasted to a stop or was stopped it was on. I tried to check the oil level but I couldn't because the pull release was stretched so it's a 2 people job to open, anyway, I ment my friend at Mondello to watch the drifting. When I got there he spotted oil actually on the drivers side wing, must of been flung up off the belt maybe?
that side of engine is fairly covered in oil.
I know it was fine for oil the day before as I checked it. The dip stick is and was in properly, the cap on fine.
No oil showed up on dip stick when I checked it at mondello, I watched the drifting, tried to see before heading home if it was easy to spot a leak but no luck, so filled it up with oil and drive it the 25mins home, nice and handy. same thing happened oil light came on at lights so I turned it off and started when lights went green.
There is no oil in the water.
    The car starts fine.
    Sounds fine running.
Off out to dinner in gf's car now, will have a better look at it tomorrow.
Any ideas what to look out for?
    It's a 1.2 16v 00D 1st of the new nodel C model. 68,000miles on it.
Had full service and passed nct about 4000 miles ago.
