    Hi Folks

I've done a search through this forum and I haven't found anything that answers my question so here's our predicament.

My wife has been thinking of going back to college for a few years now and she's finally focused in on a few courses in the UK, one is in England and the other is in Scotland. So far so good.

Here's the tricky bit, we moved to Australia in Dec 2011 just for work, we're not australian residents and Ireland is still our primary residence. According to Citizens Information we're classed as irish residents until we're gone for three years so we're half way there.

Our question is will the English universities consider her an international student rather than EU resident? We still use her mothers address in Ireland, car taxed and insured whenever we're home etc, some bills still running in our names.

She'll be considered EU if you're using the address in Ireland. I might not mention you're away in Oz though unless it's something you need to volunteer, if you know what I mean. Not because it affects her entitlement (it's nationality based) but purely because it can complicate what is otherwise a straight forward process.
