    I assume it is a 1.9TDI 5 speed?

If so then €800 isn't far off the going rate. We charge €750 for a new Sachs kit just as a reference. You can get a cheap non branded solid flywheel conversion fitted cheaper but I wouldn't recommend them.

    Hi George

Yes it is a 1.9TDI 5 speed? I was looking at the Flywheel on Micksgarage 386.22 euro this includes The bolt for flyweel mounting . I am told its a time consuming job. I am also assuming this is a fair enough price. Agree as well, I wouldn't put a flywheel conversion in. Do I need any other parts.

    Thanks again
    Emmett

The clutch should be changed at the same time. The quote of €800 probably already includes a new clutch and new gearbox oil.

Is there no end to this ?

All the failures of flywheels, dpf etc. This should be a warning to all with modern diesels and that is, don't buy them !

It's ridiculous at this stage. And what's worse is the manufacturers are getting away with it !!!

Another thread here where someone has their car ruined because of washed diesel, another increasingly common problem.
