    If a guard was based in a small town then married a girl from that town would he have to be transfered once he married her?

    Of course not.


    They cannot however work within a certain area of where they grew up, think its 15/20 miles

    so when someone upsets her he can harass them all he likes i would think that would be a conflict of interest no?

    It used to be the case that he would be transferred if she was a native of the town i.e. all her relatives lived nearby. Not sure what's the current position.

    He cant be from the area he is stationed that is the only rule.

    Ireland is too small a country to expect him to have no ties to an area for what ever reason.

    And in a more realistic real world senario a complaint could be made to the super intendant in the area and that would be the end of that. Its 2013 not 1913.
