Sorry to start a thread on a minor mechanical issue but couldn't find a general thread.

Anyway anyone had a gear shifter rattling/vibrating on their TT bike ?
It's actually a bit loose and vibrates like mad. Can't figure out how to tighten it. Any pointers ?

Sometime you can turn the twist the lever and it will tighten it up, but you then have to adjust the bars to have them pointing the right way.

also there should be a bolt (traditionally a flat head screwdriver) to one side of the lever, you can open this and the lever will come apart, this should allow you shove an allen key down the gap and tighten it up.
be careful putting it back together as you can snag the cable. (exact details should be on you tube).
