Any Ideas why nothing shows up on the Showcase tab?

Is it a HD box? I think it needs to be HD

Have you activated full access to On Demand on your account which includes the larger catalogue and Catch Up TV? If so, are you having any issues with downloading content from there?

    or

Can you try a planner rebuild for me as this may resolve this problem for you.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Press services on your Sky remote control and you will see the main menu with Options highlighted.
    2. Highlight the Settings menu using the right arrow button and press select.
    3. Press 0 (zero), 1 then select to access the Installer Setup menu (this menu is not listed on the Settings menu options).
    4. Use the left/right arrows to highlight Rebuild (this will change to Sky+ Rebuild when reached) and press select.
    5. The on-screen message "This will take a few minutes to complete. The rebuild will stop all recordings and reboot your Sky+" will appear. Press select to continue.
    6. The on-screen message "Housekeeping please wait" will appear and take up to two minutes to clear. If your Sky+HD box continues to display this message for longer than two minutes please carry out a power reset (below) with the viewing card removed.
    7. Once complete your Sky+HD box will switch itself off and then back on automatically displaying the red standby light.
    8. Ensure the red standby light on the box has re-appeared, then wait for 3 minutes.
    9. Press sky your remote control and the light on your Sky+HD box will turn green

    I would suggest ringing SKY

I belive you need to have an ethernet cable going directly from the HD box into your router.
    Can anybody confirm this?

Don't use Ethernet witn my one and have all services,
did have a problem last month with it, same as op,
my internet provider had change some settings because i could not connect a new tablet i brought, but unplugging box for 20 mins done reset and this worked for me, all working fine now.

ps, i am talking about the small box now ,which i purchased for €12, i think now is free form sky, not sure if op means this?

You either need to connect your Sky Hd box to your router via an eternet cable or you will need a wireless dongle available from sky for approx €12 to do this wirelessly. Press services and push right to the spanner to get to the settings menu, push down and scroll over to Network. Your box should now have an ip address. Ensure DHCP is enabled unless you plan to manually apply an ip address to the sky box on your network.

However it does not work on Thompson branded HD boxes, contact sky to get your box replaced. It also does not work on sky + boxes(WHITE)

You will need to ring sky to get the service activated on your account otherwise it will not work, once you have gotten your account activated
