Windows 8 - Updates not working

    Hi there,

    My windows updates wont download and install. I think the problem initially started as I was on metered connection and didn't install manually. Now when I try to install them manually, one by one, they just fail every time.
    I have a good 3G+ connection on a dongle.

    Any ideas? I want to install office 2013 but am hesitant to until this is resolved.

    Download all the updates then goto the power button,sometimes there will be an option to install updates and restart.

    Go to Troubleshooting in control panel, click view all on the left, click windows update off the list & let it run, it will prompt you have way to run as admin, let it do its thing.

    Fixes the problem for me anyway. But usually have to run it everytime before installing updates.
