I'm a long standing Boardsie, but posting without being logged on for privacy.

I'm absolutely distraught, I just got let go from my job. I'm a college student trying to independently support myself and I'm sick with worry. My issue is that I'm not sure what to actually do about it. Friends/Family think I should immediately request a meeting with management because I've been treated so unfairly.

A bit of background - I work in a nightclub. I liked it quite a lot. The place was not well run at all, though. Its brand new, its only been open for the 8 months I've been working there.

For a start, in those 8 months, I've had 11 different managers. They all end up quitting and walking out because the board of investors are too unreasonable. It makes it hard to connect with management because they're gone quicker than they come in.

I'm good at my job. I've never been late, or called in sick. In my 8 months there I've only asked for 1 day off and that was for my goddaughter's christening. I do what I'm told and I've never once been in trouble.

They pay us with cash despite the fact that we're being taxed. No one high up can be bothered sorting out bank details so its the only possible way to get paid. Problem is, because of this, things fall between the cracks and they've underpaid me on 6 occasions. I never complained, just asked, and they usually sorted it after about a month. They still owe me 14 hours pay from February though, and there's no sign of it coming my way any time soon.

Anyway, we got another new manager last month. There are a team of 4 working in my particular bar. Most nights, we're so busy, we literally barely manage.

From the moment the new manager took charge I went from getting 16 hours a week to getting 4. One other member of my team was also reduced to 4 hours, but the other 2 remained at 16 hours. As I have no minimum hours in my contract I couldn't complain about it, just gritted my teeth and got on with it.

I wouldn't have minded my hours being cut if it were done fairly, I don't think it was fair that 2 were given all the hours and myself and my other team member were given what was left over.

It went on like that for the last month until the manager came in last night and said that from next week on there will only be 2 employees at a time working at our bar.

We're given our weekly roster via a private FB group. Here's the catch though..Employees are never directly fired where I work. Since the place opened, the way they fire people is by not including that employees name on the roster. Ridiculously unprofessional but true. Its how its always been since we opened 8 months ago.

My name has been omitted from next weeks roster. So I'm taking it that I'm fired. I tried ringing my manager last night but my calls were rejected. I don't know what to do.

I'm very upset, I've been very loyal to my employers, coming into work to help out during the day for free and being as flexible as possible regarding my hours. Then, all of a sudden, they're deleting me from the roster and cutting my hours.

What should I do? I really need this job, I have a fiancé depending on me and bills to pay. I'm crying my hours out and feel sick with worry. I don't deserve this but I know the manager will basically tell me to fúck off. Does anyone have any advice?

At this rate I don't think I even want to work there anymore anyway, the anxiety is driving my mental and I'm constantly on edge.
