Just wondering could I plug something like a boss gt-6 multi effects pedal board into an acoustic amp? Or what would be the best way to do it? I have an elctro acoustic and an electric guitar. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth buying a multi effects pedal board. Thanks

What amp do you have? What multi effects pedal did you have in mind? Are there particular effects you're interested in or do you just want to have a play around? Are you planning on upgrading you're amp etc. in the future?

Have a yamaha practice amp but it's broke now so i was going to get an amp that would suit my acoustic as well. I'd probably go for one of the boss multi effects pedals. There is some sounds that i want for doing solos in songs like hotel california or something, but i would probably just be playing around mostly. Well if i get an amp now i dont think i will upgrade for a long time anyway

Haha, after several rewrites of a reply I don't think I have the knowledge to advise on this! Although, I assume that with an acoustic amp, there'll be very little fiddling with the sound, which will suit a multi effects pedal (seeing as it models everything)? So, the only issue is if you can turn off the acoustic modelling stuff when using your acoustic and just use the effects?

Get the ME-50... better quality sounds then the GT-6 (which i own) which would probably be overkill for what you want to use it for anyway.

Electric guitar amps are Mid heavy.

Acoustic amps have a much flatter frequency spectrum, so they are like a baby PA.

I have a Marshall AS50R Acoustic amp, and I run a POD XT live into it and it sounds fantastic.

    at all volumes!
