Irish Citizenship question

    Hi,
I applied for Irish citizenship in November 2011 as spouse of Irish citizen, few weeks after I received a reply with that my application was received and I was given the application number. In July 2012 I received a letter from the citizenship section asking me for some document and they gave me 28 days to reply and I replied before the 28 days and they write back to me to confirm the receipt of all of the document. But my concern is that since then (July 2012) nothing is happen. Please, if I can ask for advise.

Did you contact them to ask what the delay is? That is what I would do.

Your TD can put in a question for you, you'll probably get a reply quicker that way. But the reply is likely to be along the lines of "applications are dealt with in chronological order and you will be notified once a decision is reached".
