    6 courses today.

Theatrical Star 5/4 at 2.20 seems good value.

Urban, your old pal Jolily is out at wexford tonight.

Andrew Lynch back on board. (Easy win 2 starts ago the only time he's ridden)

Jockey booking is a positive, i mentioned before that when Tim doyle books one of these guys you have to take note. Conditions should suit(although heavy ground would be best). My main concern is that the handicapper has this horse well covered tho.

FWIW i have a small win bet on.

Quarl Ego who I strongly fancied on handicap debut went on to win at Fontwell today. Wish he had done it LTO though!

I was in the bookies and remembered you tipped him up the last time so stuck a tenner on him in what was a wide open race! Returned 5/1 aswell!!

    6.50 Southwell

    Bocamix 25/1

Not the most conventional selection but Bocamix has never run a bad race at Southwell, looks on a feasible mark of 107 and represents an in form trainer in Andrew Crook. Bocamix has had 4 starts at Southwell, all over this C+D, where he boasts an excellent record of 2 wins and on the other two starts he was beaten less than 5L so he clearly goes very well here. Although 5lb above his last winning mark (over this C+D), he is 3lb below a mark where he was beaten 4.75L here at Southwell last July so he's definitely feasibly enough treated. He comes here on the back of a couple of Novice Chases (wasn't beaten overly far LTO) and although he certainly hasn't looked a winner in waiting the return to Southwell could definitely see him show his best. Andrew Crook clearly has his horses in very good form with 2 of his last 7 runners winning and it is the trainer's birthday so I'm hoping he's got this spot on to get a winner as a present. The very well backed favourite Makari looks potentially on a very good mark and I think he's going to prove extremely difficult to beat but Bocamix is a lovely e/w price and I'm far happier siding with him at the price. On ground that should suit, Henry Brooke takes the ride and if the return to his favourite venue sees him at his best I definitely think he'll outrun his price tag and hopefully he can land the spoils in this average enough looking contest.

    5.15 Newbury

    Mirza 13/2

This looks an each way steal at 13/2 with only 8 running as last years winner Mirza looks to have a superb chance of winning this contest for the 2nd year running on his seasonal reappearance. Last year Mirza won this off a 4lb lower mark of 94 when scoring impressively 1.5L. Last year in the early part of the season he went on to score off his current mark of 98 at Newmarket last June before scoring in a Listed contest at Cork later that month with the subsequent Group 3 winning My Girl Anna back in 2nd. Although his form tailed off last season, he's gotten himself back down to his last winning mark and looks well handicapped on some of the form he showed last season. Richard Hughes, who is 3-5 on board Mirza, takes the ride and Rae Guest has his horses in very good order at present. I'd be very surprised if he was out of the first 3 but I'm pretty confident that he will land this race for the 2nd year running and 13/2 is a lovely price for him to go and do so.

Twin Plan going off at 7s was ridiculous. So ridiculous that I forgot to see what price she was and didn't back her.

I know the ****ing jockey and I forgot about it as well

There is no way he travels over to Ayr for one race without it being a winner
