Hi there, would be very grateful for people's advice.

I'm taking up a job in July/August in Australia and will be getting a sponsored 457 visa from the employer.

The only problem is I have a flight already booked for early June.

Was going to apply for a 417 working holiday visa for the first 2 months and then transfer to the 457. Just wondering can you transfer visas like this?

Hmm what to do here would depend on your age.

Once you go from 417 to 457 there is no going back. So if your early to mid twenties maybe think about if you want to use up your whv for the sake of two months.

+1 with Sunday, why don't you try a holiday visa, spend a few weeks traveling a few week settling in, then get the visa?
