    Hello,

Does anyone know of a butcher in letterkenny that doesn't mind mincing steak for you? Extra points if they don't go into a cold room and come out with what is obviously normal mince  Thanks!

Im sure any butcher will do it providing you are paying the full cost of the meat. Mince as we know it is a heap of various bits and pieces of left over cuts and its basically recycled (for want of a better word) rather than throwing it away.

They could have mince selling at €3/lb but if you go in and spot a piece of topside and ask to have it minced then it will cost you maybe €4 - €5 per pound based on whatever price they are selling the topside at.

Paddy Gildea will do it in front of you down at the friendly butchers. His beef comes from his own farm too.

He's a real butcher which is good. There are other places in town that are just essentially meat shops.
