Am currently with Vodafone, contract up next month and thinking of changing to Sky Broadband with promise of better download speed and slight bit cheaper. I am on a 7mb package with Vodafone, get almost 6mb most of the time and have been told by Sky , my line capable of 17mb speed. Its very tempting, even if I got say a constant speed of somewhere in between the 6mb am already getting and the 17mb , Sky say I will get, but reading some of the posts , elsewhere on here, am a bit worried as a lot of people not happy and stuck with it. what I want to know is, if I do change to Sky and don't get what they said I would, what is the cooling off period if any, where I can leave Sky if need be with no penalty and say for instance go back to Vodafone?

I signed up for the service when it was first launched and it was great for the first week I would get 14 meg of download speed no problem. But as soon as 5pm hits the speed goes down to less than 1 meg which is stupid for a new service that has just been launched, In the evening I can not do anything with that speed.
The internet service provider I was with before I never had such a drop in speed in the evening...
