I was in alcudia a number of years ago ... 10+ years ago .... its great for young families, particularly the teens and pre-teens (hotel dependent I guess), most of the hotels seem to be all-inclusive.

there is not a whole lot to do outside of hotel activities, but the hotels usually provide decent entertainment.

if my memory is correct we stayed in hotel lagomonte.

my sister and her family are going there soon (alcudia), she has 2 kids, 11 and 6.

I went last summer to Hotel Jupiter and loved it going back again this year. It has everything for kids, its reasonable clean. The food is lovely, its not 5 star dining but its hot and tasty. It can be a bit noisy at times as its quite a large resort but overall its good. Make sure to go to the beach as its a beautiful beach, 10km long and water real shallow
