Laptop/Skype won't use external microphone

I'm having trouble with my external, and internal microphones. Whenever I connect my external microphone, it should disable my internal microphone, which I do have it set to, however, it doesn't. My sound is played through both my external, and internal microphones. My driver is Realtek HD, whenever I plug my mic in, it does say that my internal mic is disabled (It's greyed out at least), but it clearly isn't. I don't know what caused this problem, as I have been using my external mic on this laptop with no problems for 5 months, and as of this morning, it doesn't work.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, that fixed it.
