^ dunno....the zombies look slasher movie cheap, but the plane crashing was pretty good. I only see Maiara Walsh whom i know from several other shows.

But compared to the movie it looks very meh and unfunny.

When watching the trailer for Zombieland the Series earlier today it was Birdemic that kept coming to mind. Real shame that the Zombieland series looks so cheap as there was a lot of potential in adapting the film for TV. The zombie kill of the week would be worth tuning in for but the decision to use the same characters and recast with talentless actors is going to hurt in the long run. I know it's only a few minutes long but the trailer really better not be in any way be a representative of what the show is like as if it is then I don't see myself lasting a full episode.

That was shockingly bad to be honest (Zombieland that is, Birdemic is something else entirely haha); I was going to say it was like one of those fan-made short films that crop up on YouTube - the sort that people make in their spare time, based around popular IPs in gaming, comics etc. - but that would have been doing those films a disservice as they're often made with a panache, pasison & energy that trumps any inferior production values

Terrible acting, terrible FX, and if I'm honest, is riffing on a film that wasn't all that great to begin with; Zombieland didn't add anything new to the beaten dead horse that is the zombie genre. It functioned quite nicely as a self-contained comedy, but that's about it.

Absolutely dreadful. A few decent Zombie scenes in between cringingly bad scenes full of poor acting, cheap sets and horrifically bad scripting.

Real shame. I will say that the opening 5 minutes were genuinely promising. But the show is downhill from there.

What were Amazon thinking?

So it's very much like The Walking Dead then by that review? :-D
It wouldn't surprise me if this gets made purely because it features zombies and, once a show has those it seems to be enough for many to overlook other flaws.

I'm just after watching the pilot episode, have to say it was a huge disappointment i was really hoping it would be good or at the least be decent, but no it was terrible apart from a few small scenes.

Just finished watching it myself....brutal stuff altogether.

EPIC FAIL!

Wow. That was painful. They took the charisma, acting ability, and chemistry of the characters and thought, "feckit, we don't need these".

Well, to nobody's great surprise, Amazon have decided to drop the show & not make a full series. Rhett Reese, the creator of Zombieland, wasn't best pleased with the news or fans of the film who hated the pilot:

I'll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence.

the creator of zombieland is such a tool! i wouldn't say that about many people who i don't know but i've read enough statements from the guy to be happy to stand behind my assertion
