Anyone having problems with Saorview series Link today?

All my recordings are not working today, and when I set up a new recording, S/L function not on menu. It was working perfectly yesterday.

I'm using the Saorview approved Walker PVR.

The question is; is this a problem with your non-approved Humax or is it affecting other non-approved PVRs? Perhaps others using similar non-approved PVRs could test theirs and post the results.

Just after checking, series link available for me on my HDR Fox T2. Try setting the country to England. I don't have series link when Ireland is selected.

Need to access hidden menu to do this.

Press menu then settings > system > system information. Then press red, green, yellow, blue, green, yellow, blue. Hidden menu should appear.

Good man - that fixed it. I was trying to fix the summertime issue last week and changed country to Ireland. Today, I changed back to England and turned on/off the box, and now the series link is working again.
    Thanks for help.

    No problem.

However, is the time still correct for you with the country set to England? I can get Freeview from NI here in Dundalk as well as Saorview, so summertime isn't an issue for me. It changed ok last month.

The Saorview signal on it's own wasn't changing the clock to summertime, hence changing the country to Ireland to cure this, but you lose S/L then. GB CULLEN's thread on this here.

So, here is what I know when Humax Fox T2 is connected to Saorview
    1. with country set to England,
    Series link works.
    Time is correct,
automatic update of summertime does not work, but can be corrected manually

    2. with country set to Ireland,
    series link does not work,
    time is correct,
I cannot confirm if automatic update of summertime works, but can be corrected manually.

I will definitely keep my box set to England. Series link is a must have option. I will just have to update time twice per year manually!

I hate to ressurect a thread but...

Afore I hop in the motor and drive to Kerry and check this out on the outlaws setup; Walker TV w/Saorview and a Ferguson Ariva combo with dish and external HDD picking up Freesat FTA and Saorview.

Can I confirm that A) serieslink is now available for Freesat over a Combo type box by changing the country of origin to Engerland. And that B) I DON'T have to travel all the way to Kerry (Ballybunion) to be the guinea pig because a baordie on here HAS already or KNOWS soemone who has already proven this to work with / on the Ariva.

Do you have a link to that post?

As far as we know series link will only work with a proper PVR with built-in HDD, Saorview+/Freesat+/Freeview+.

No. Series link is not possible on an ariva on ROI nor UK channels. A different type of box is needed.

This thread is about a Humax box.

Would that be why,it's not working on my lovely new saorview approved triax combo, the fact it uses usb for recording?
I know theres a long thread on that machine,I'm a tad reluctant to set the country to England on it yet but I will tonight to see what happens.

At present only OTR is available on the saorview , freeview and freesat channels and timer record.

In theory it could work on non approved combo boxes, but the reality is the feature was not initially included in the software and is unlikely to be added in the future. Some UK approved PVRs, like the one in this thread, may work to some extent. There is only one officially approved PVR that is confirmed to work 100% with series link.
