Moving to the Wirral Merseyside

Hi all,
first post so still finding my feet!!!
as title says, myself hubby and 2 kids are thinking of moving to the wirral, mersey side of wirral!! i used to live in Wallasey but I am looking for some advice on where is nice to live with kids near a good primary? would love a house with garden we will be renting! my husband has been applying for jobs he is a plasterer. i am also wondering how much benefits would be for 2 ad 2 kids if he endedup out of work again as we will be giving up council house here very relunctantly! any help would be great x
