    Hi,

I've looked through the threads and contacted the SRA.
In my position however I Don't have a law degree but PG Dip from DIT.
Would that still exempt me from GDL in UK bar the two subjects we don't do here? Also would I have to take the whole year or could I do just do the exams? I also have most FE1s as well hoping to finish soon.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who did this in terms of difficulty of LPC. Also looking on paralegal london recruitment sites wanting LPC and 6 months experience. What type of work could you get if you went over to do.

    Hey,

I'm not sure the FE1s would matter in an LPC sense, they're exams for separate law societies although i do know the aussies tend to give exemptions for exams done in ones home country when applying. It's quite a specific question i think so i think maybe a call to the SRA might help. I only had to contact them recently and an email to them is responded to pretty quickly.

    Hope it works out :)

    Thanks S,

They told me to get a certificate of academic standing, I don't want to apply with the expense until I have all 8 passed.
Also I'm worried about the pgdip and the corse before that you've to do prior to LPC.

Afraid i don't know much about the actual LPC itself, more of the transfer tests. Just check that the actual exams will stand up to being used, the property exam doesn't transfer in Australia (almost poistive) but the contract one does. Go figure.
