Need to get from Dublin to Cardiff this Sunday

Hi there,

I need to travel from Dublin to Cardiff on Sunday with work. I'll be coming back in two weeks or so.

I've looked at flights and they're more expensive than I'd like. I often take the bus to London, so if there was a similar option for Cardiff it would be great.

If anyone has any tips / ideas / pointers as to the cheapest and easiest route / option (where it leaves from / where it goes to) I'd really appreciate it.

With it being so late I reckon sail & rail being your only option if you want to keep cost down.

Megabus but its from Rosslare, so train down to Rosslare and over

Ryanair to Bristol probably isn't very expensive.

Have you looked up Ryanair flights to Bristol. Cardiff is only about an hour away with regular buses and trains.

Consider SailRail via Dublin, Dún Laoghaire or Rosslare - a combined fare for ferry and train.

Train connections are poor on the Rosslare side and from Holyhead to Cardiff.

8.00am flight to Bristol from Dublin (Ryanair) on Sunday morning is only €46 one way. bus from Bristol to Cardiff goes every hour. from memory it takes 90 mins.
