Any thoughts or problems to look out for, its the 1.9d engine and 140k miles on the clock. Timing belt done at 120k miles and car looks clean.

My woman had one. Sold it in 2009 when heard from VW dealer that turbos on them love to break down after approx 5 years.

She also had problem with DPF - but luckily got a 2nd hand replacement.

All the rest was fine. :)

    No, I'm not. ;)

Woman's been told by a mechanic, that (according to her words) "kind of catalytic thing" in her car had to be replaced.

Haven't seen that myself, so obviously can't say true or false. :o

At 140k miles I'd be looking for evidence if the flywheel (DMF) has already been replaced or if it is still on it's original one as it could be an expensive bill around the corner. The flywheel can generally go on diesels with over 100k miles on them and you will be better off replacing the clutch too while your at it.

Looks like we're looking towards a 1.9 Zafira diesel now and thew Tourans are very expensive for the year available.
