For years in Dublin you could buy a ticket in any of the larger pubs for a few quid to see Brendan OCarroll.

To see Mrs Browns Boys in the nosebleeds section in Melbourne will set you back 119.00.

Fair play to him he worked for it.

So many Aussies love the show.

They would have to pay me to go watch that rubbish.

Genuinely shocked at how popular it is over here.

This is the land were jimeoin is considered funny.

I have to say the show gives me a laugh when I use to consider his stand up just crude.

I hate it. It amazes me that it's so popular outside of Ireland.

Ive never got the humour in it either. Makes me cringe.

But if the aussies want to soak it up you cant blame the man!

I think he means it amazes him that its popular outside of ireland when so much of the jokes are specific to Irish (especially Dublin) issues, society, slang etc

I think there's a fair bit of them thinking the accent is funny too. I have a couple of aussie friends who love it and have started saying feck because of it. I don't hate it but I don't find it all that funny.

Maybe the fact that I just see Brendan OCarroll in a dress where they see a grumpy funny auld one that has somthing to do with it?

Ha I was asked that the other day .... "Why do you(irish) use the word feck?"

    "I dont fecking know"

The show has it moments. The one where she takes LSD is fairly funny

Is he over here, not my kind of humour at all.
No worries, David O'Doherty at the comedy festival raised the bar back up the other night.
