Suitable for a wedding?

Hi guys,

At this stage I reckon ye could charge a consultation fee for each thread asking this question and be millionaires! But I need opinions!

I'm browsing online for something to wear to my friends wedding next month. I've fallen head over heels in love with this dress:

But would it be appropriate? My main concern is the bodice top is VERY bridal-ish, in any photos where I was sitting down or of my top half I think it would look like I turned up in a wedding dress! But I really like it so I'm not sure. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I would wear that to a wedding. Just don't wear bridal type jewellery. I would go with a big statement neclace or a bangle. Lovely dress

No I don't think it is suitable, it is long, white/ cream and lacy just like a wedding dress.
If I saw someone wearing that to a wedding I would think they hated the bride or were jealous of her so tried to take away from her big day by wearing such a dress.

The skirt part is actually a deep peach colour, darker than it looks in the photo. But I take your point!

Call me old-fashioned but I don't think it's suitable on the grounds that you could look like part of the wedding party.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Hmmn, probably best err on the side of caution and go for something else. Pity, I love it so much!

I actually don't like the dress, it looks a bit cheap to me (quality wise). It also seems to be very low cut on top and inappropriate for church without jacket. But it could be just me, because I'm not a great fan of two tone dresses and hate peach/nude clothing.
