Oil Boiler versus Electric Storage Heating.

Does anybody have a rough estimate of the cost of running electric storage heating compared with oil heating in a 3 bed semi? I see from previous threads that a rough cost for oil installation is 6 to 8K. Just wondering how long would it take to pay for itself.
