LPT. What do you want from it?

So I have just completed the LPT ( Local Property Tax ) form on my 4 bedroomed detached house with extension, but they forgot to insert the part where you want the money spent on.
I want a nice flower bed set out at the entrance of the estate.
A bronze statue to a local folk hero Seamus “Ladhar Dubh” Smith, the man who could save his hay without leaving the pub.
A speed bump outside the house as my two year old is constantly straying onto it.
The old water pump has a nest of eggs in it and needs to be cleaned out and repainted with nice flowers in it.
What suggestions have you supplied with your LPT form?
Those of you living with your parents in your late twenties early thirtys need not respond unless you are giving something towards your keep,

I'm pretty sure the money is all going to be attached to the legs of doves and sent flying over to Europe so we don't get nuked in 2024.

    That's the plan isn't it?

You could use crows and spray them white, much cheaper than a heap of doves.

The local elections are in 2014. That's when you get to make your suggestions like everyone else. Or you can write to your county councillors today. Revenue don't get to decide where this stuff goes.

Bins collected and water aswell,as part of the LPT.

Thats what should be done...not a tax for every fcuking thing in this country.

Labour mightnt even make it into 2014,so the goverment could well collapse by then.

Another thread on the LPT are you serious??? There have been 4 previous threads on the HHC/LPT totaling over 35,000 posts between them. Surely everything there is to say has already been said.

In response to your O.P, you're going to get sweet f*ck all for your money. It's going to be used to plug the deficit.

Is it too much to ask for a free coke and hooker machine at the estate entrance?

I guess now that people are expected to pay the Local Property Tax then Estate Management Fee's (Developer Scams) should be eliminated and the Council take over the management of private estates.

Id love to know how DCC claim they are short on money to clean and maintain streets, yet they have over 60 million euro to move a fecking library from one side of the road to the other side into a new building.

    I want a good night's sleep.

Been sick to death worried about bankers and bondholders not getting their losses back. :(

They're past their consume by date.

Is the property tax ring-fenced for local development or is it just being lumped into the tax pot?

As madyaker said.... we re going to sweet f..k all for our LPT, if track record is anything to go by.

A the bottom of our road, about three weeks ago, busy and dangerous junction, 10/12 council workers( only going where they are told from the boss in the council offices!!) two trucks, jcb and driver,
2/3 days work putting in about a foot width shore across the road,it floods really bad, lethal in the frost, how no one has been seriously hurt or killed i do not know(yet)..........At a guess mabye 4 - 6 thousand euro cost.

Next heavy shower of rain... yep.... the shore was under a foot of water

    ACCOUNTABILITY..............
