Fitzwilliam St Upper, hotels or B &B's near?

Hi considering entering the Dublin Marathon and I'm wondering where I'd stay if I did?. I've no real idea of Dublin geography . It start's on Fitzwilliam St Upper, so if anyone could recommend accomodation within a few minutes walk of this, I'd be grateful. Thanks Karen:)

The Maldron on Cardiff Lane is about a 10 minute walk, it's down beside the Liffey, has a swimming pool to help relieve the aches!

The Grafton Capital, much more central for restaurants and shopping if you fancied that the next day

Thanks, the Grafton Capital is fully booked, nearly 6 months in advance but the Maldron looks good!
