    Hi

Decided I am going to build a 16 inch high by 40 foot dry stone wall for a raised garden bed. How would I calculate an approx amount of stone needed for such a job ?

I have been trying to source some stone lately and and get it delivered and some quarries wont deliver as its too small a job. Others then have very high quality and expensive cut stone but it is so much for a job like this.
Anyone know where I can source stone in the Limerick area on the lines of the following picture and hopefully get it delivered as I dont have access to a trailer?

    Thanks

Ok well in new money (foot and inches mean little to a man of my lack of vintage)

16ft (400mm high) x 40ft (12000mm) would be 4.8m2 of stone if the wall is one sided or double if two sided. You will also need either a capping stone for the top of the wall or some other material at 12m in length.

I am Dublin based so cant help with limerick suppliers sorry.
