Mirror mosiac table

I've started a project of covering an old coffee table with mirror mosaic pieces. It's a big table and I have about half of the surface covered so far.
I was really pleased with how it was going until I noticed, a few hours later, lots of little black spots have appeared on the mirror pieces. Does anyone know what could have caused this or how it could be fixed. Should I just start again  Thanks

What adhesive did you use sounds like solvent is eating thru the mirror backing.

Thanks for replying. I just used cheapo Bostik all purpose glue. Do you think that's the problem?

Mirror mate is the best looks like you will have to take them back up.
Sorry yes that is the problem.
