Lads this is not meant to be some self promotion from Stillorgan RFc (mods please delete if you feel it is) but I think a big shout out needs to go to Stillorgan RFC who will play their first J2 Cup final on Saturday against St Mary's. In a competition that is generally dominated by senior clubs when it gets to the business end of the cup Stillorgan have beaten Clontarf, Lansdowne and Malahide to get to the final. Playing Mary's in the final is a massive task as they are J2 league champions but this is a great opportunity for a junior club to try take a J2 Cup

The game is fixed for this Saturday at 3pm with the venue tbc

    Come on Stillorgan!

We got whacked by Mary's J1/1st J2 in the Metro cup a few weeks back...will be a tough game

Let us know when the venue has been confirmed. Might pop out to watch my native club (Stillorgan) do the business.

Have to say the St Marys J2 are a very good side but they have never loaded their j2 or any other team. Its the same side winning the leagues and cups every year except for the odd ex-Irish international thats drops dowm to J2(joke).

    Edit to cheer on Stillorgan

I said it with tongue firmly pressed in cheek, sorry if that didn't come across. They have a couple of ringers, same as every other team out there.

They don't have any ringers, fact. Kieran Lewis, with 3 Irish caps has being playing J2 out of choice. Mary's has alot of firsts player so some of the older guys have dropped down, and in that there was only three who did so. And they did so permanently.
