    If i have an alloy with a density of 6.3 g/c cm and i know that the ingot is 40mm diameter....can someone show me the formula for working out the height the ingot will be for any given weight ? for example if i want to calculate the height it should be for 1.4kg
    Thanks

    H(mm)=(PI(D^2))/4*Density*9.81

    Weight=Volume*Density*g

    Volume of a cylinder is (PI*D^2)/4) * Height
    D is for Diameter, I'd us Rho for Density, but I don't have time.

    And also dont forget to change everything to SI units.

    h = (Weight/Density) / PI *(r^2)
    h = (1.4/0.0063)/PI*(0.04^2)
    h = 0.113m
