Pretty much as new 6600 Shimano Ultegra Crankset 53/39 - €90 or Swap

I have had these cranks in the cupboard for a while now they are 170mm crankarm length and what I really want is 175mm. This is a really solid crankset offered at a good price.

I will swap for a similar quality 175mm Ultegra of 105 Crankset.

I used this crankset briefly on a Junior race set up with a 52t big ring and a 14t smallest sproket on the back (26ft rollout). I can throw in the 52t chainring with it if this is of interest.

Price drop to €80 any takers ?

    BTW

The advantage of the shorter 170mm cranks versus 172.5 or 175 is that they enable higher spinning rates and are also more suitable for smaller/shorter riders. Longer cranks give more leverage for climbing particularly out of the saddle. There is a lot of debate on optimum crank length but in the end it comes down largely to personal choice and fashion. As the trend in road cycling is for higher cadence/spinning the shorter cranks would facilitate this.

With these cranks I use the Ultegra 6700 BB which is an external BB bearing cups, they are also fully compatible with the the latest 6700/5700/4700 shimano BB's and are easy to fit. One last point is that if you are looking to upgrade from a square taper to external bearings this crankset with a BB will work well and is very forgiving. More than happy to advise any interested parties further on this and help fit if needed.

Nothing to swap. Is it possible to change the rings to a 50/ 34 compact without changing crankset? I'm changing from a triple.

Not possible, these are standard 130 BCD (bolt center diameter) while a compact is 110 BCD which basically determines the chain ring size you can attach to the crank, Bottom line you cant attach 50/34 to a 130 BCD crank.

What kind of triple are you changing from ?

    Shimano tiagra

Further Price drop to €70 for this in new condition 53/39 Ultegra Standard Crankset.

The 170mm cranklength would be great for a smaller rider, junior or a lady. It could also be used as a singlespeed crank on a trackbike/fixie.

Any offers ? a new 6700 on CRC is currently €177.49 with a 40% on RRP. This one is the 6600 model but uses the same external BB system and chainrings. Go on grab a bargin !

I have a ultegra 6650 compact cranks 175mm but no chainrings, brand new, no mileage at all on it. Would that be of interest to you? I have compact chainrings off a 105 5600 compact cranks, not sure if they fit the ultegra or not. Sure let me know what you think.
