    anyone got logs or lenghths of timber for sale,something like 2 lifts.i hear that coilte are very expensive lately?

    Sorry - can't heip you but it might be a good idea to state what type of timber,prefered log diametre/log length and the amount [in tonnes] that you require.

    dry spruce would be fine.2 lorry lifts is about 17 tonne.12 ft lengthz

    Its wood that's become valuable, NOT Coillte that's become expensive.. So why would you expect a private guy to sell at a loss to the price that Coillte is getting?

    Private timber stand owners have made a huge PERSONAL investment, usually WAY beyond what the organs of the State have done, and really it Pi55es me off when people think they should get timber for half nothing from the private guy when often times they wont even argue with the Coillte price fixer. Grrrr!

    Hi i would always try to buy from the small grower,living here in kerry and been trying to find a list of small forestry growers to buy timber direct rather than from the BIG boys,anyone know where such a list could be found!
