There is about an inch of re-growth on grass grazed early last week. Not a lot but better than nothing.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

How are we meant to pronounce that username ha! But yep same here, Was in one of the silage paddocks that only got grazed out 3wks ago, followed with slurry and cut sward and theres a nice bit of cover back on it now! It was only reseeded 2yrs ago, makes all the difference! I'll resist letting the cows on it if I can, would like to get an early(ish) cut on some of the farm at least!

Might be greening but long way from good covers. Aiming for all cattle out by Saturday week. Will need two weeks of good temps to push growth.

Sooner you graze the sooner it'll grow. I notice that early N & slurry really working now along with early grazing.
It really has been a seat of the pants ride!!!
I recon growth touching 40/day. Windy but at least it's from the south west!!

Slurry spread as far back as early jan can be seen working now.
All we need is some real heat and there will be grass everywhere.

Have some out alright delaval but growth slow even on grazed ground. Definitely see great response from early slurry but still a long way from having good covers.

I would say there will be a lot of silage made this year after this winter.

Plenty of time to grow grass for silage, only mid April yet! All about quility though, how many will try to get big yeild of stong June grass to fill up totally empty pits, even if its all long and steamly! Improving the dmd over last years 1st cut is what I'm aiming for this year to help the winter milking cows.

Amazing how quick everything has greened up, soil temps ranged from 11 to 13 here sunday. Winter crops, especially oilseed rape really taken off last few days. Grass grazed in feb startin to get reasonable bit of cover.
