Hi,I just recently changed cars so the premium went up 250e according to a letter they posted me today, its says pay the 250 within 5 days to continue the policy, obviously it looks like im going to have to pay it but my question is if I dont pay the 250 will the insurance be cancelled in 5 days bearing in mind I paid a deposit ect of the original quote? I was hoping the extra 250 would just add onto the direct debit every month.

    Is the policy up yet?

No just started it last week, had to get insured on a small car then change over to my bigger car,it was 1500 last week I paid 450 off it,thought I'd of having a choice weather to pay the 250 up front or just add it to direct debit, doesnt look like that though judging by the pay in 5 days letter.

Surely the sensible thing would have been to check all this out with your insurer before you bought the new car?

If the policy initially only started last week can you not just cancel it and start a new policy with amended terms?
