    HI all,
My brother got his first car (06 corsa)and drove it to wrk this morning. Accidentally left the daytime lights on for an hour but when he tried to start the car the battery was flat. It was literately 1hr. Hes worried now that he got a bogey battery when he got the car 2 weeks ago. Two questions:
to start it up again will it just be a matter of jumping it like any other car and letting it run for a bit?
secondly would the battery be under any warranty from the dealer he got the car from, who gave him a 3 month warranty...
    thanks

It could well be the original battery in there.
6 years is about a lifetime for a battery, give or take.

Yeah, a jump should start it. Then drive around for a while to charge it.
Try dealer but it's probably not covered under warranty. Can't hurt to ask though.

Can't see a dealer covering a battery because it went flat after he left the lights on. If he is going to try the dealer I wouldn't mention about leaving the lights on;-) edit.. should there not be a buzzer to remind you you left the lights on??

+1 on not mentioning the lights where left on

I would try the dealer though...

And if not, a new battery wont be too expensive in relation to most car problems.

Battery's flat because he left the lights on more so then any chance of it being dodgy,
Jump start and a drive around to recharge it abit should sort it out no problems
