DVB tuner for PC (up north and want RTE)

Am I right that DVB-T2 is what I need to receive RTE up in the north?
I'm looking at a cheapish PC card rather than spending the big money on a standalone PVR box. I see the PCTV, TBS and Blackgold options around €100 or less. The PCTV one is a USB stick and costs about €60, so I want to know is there any in this price range that I could record onto my PC at higher than 30FPS?

If not I might just go for the cheapest one..
    would appreciate the info.

    Thanks

Depends on whether you are receiving it cross-border (no) or from the NI transmitters (yes). Either way DVB-T2 will work with MPEG4 will work.

There are USB dongles suitable for the purpose .... although if you require T2 they might be a little scarce.

I paid about €15 for mine ...... not T2 ..... threads in Bargain Alerts about those.
