    Looking to upgrade to a full frame,Had Planned on 6d with the 70-200 f2.8 with the kit 24-105 f4 L for just handy lens, Now i shoot (as a hobby) portraits, and Landscape but getting into Sports (Rugby) and everywhere i read it says Get the 7d for the sports etc. Can anyone shed some light?

    It mostly stems from the burst rate giving you more shots to chose from and the crop giving you that extra reach.

    I'd imagine the 6 should have it beat in most other areas, I've not used one though so I'm just looking at the same specs you'll have seen and not commenting from experience.

    Yeah I know you more of a crop zoom, was thinking of the 1.4extender however know that will drop the 2.8 to f4.

    AF system in the 6D isn't as good as the 7D which will def matter for sports (19-point cross-type points in the 7D versus 1 in the 6D). Burst rate of the 7D is higher and the crop gives you extra zoom as mentioned.
