I bought a laptop in Cork, to use in my apartment that i'm letting in the midlands. I was hoping to use it to watch DVD's but when I tried to watch one it says its for a different region. I wont be going to Cork fora few weeks.

Is it possible to change the DVD player region?

Im using a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8 by the way.

EDIT: Its okay I found a way to change it.

DVD regions are divided by continents rather than counties. :D

Which player software are you using? Windows 8 by default doesn't play DVDs.
