Carpet - Wool V Polypropylene

I need new carpet for my stairs and landing (approx 18sq yards) so i went along to two different shops

Shop 1 said i should go for a wool/nylon 80/20 mix as it was good for wear. They said the other synthetic carpets were not much good. This is what i was going to go for.

Shop 2 said i should go for a polypropylene carpet as they are hard wearing and easy to keep clean. You can even use a 50/50 mix of bleach and water on it. They said the new synthetic carpets that have come out in the last year or two are a lot better than olders types and the one i was looking at was in the Ideal Homes exbo 2 years ago. They also said this now way out sells their wool mix. Heres the carpet -

Both carpets feel similar to touch and i probably couldn't tell the difference, but i'm no expert. For what i want there is only a fiver difference in price.

    Any advice?

Yes the new synthetic carpets are excellent - scrubbable & will last well - great for children's bedrooms.
But there is no comparison for the look between 80/20 wool v synthetic - wool wins hands down.
Go for the highest quality you can afford.
