Dull Knee Pain Common?

    Hi,

I am curious - do many other runners have dull knee pain when running? Pain that is not very sore, just a little uncomfortable and tends to go away or "numb" after a mile or 2?

I feel I have bad knees but doctors couldn't find anything particularly wrong with them.

I enjoy running and I can plod along and have managed a 4 hour marathon but I am afraid I might do "damage" if I keep up running.

Is dull knee pain the norm or exception?

Pain is your brain sending a message letting you know that something is not right.

Mod: Medical advice is in breach of charter so best advice that can be given is get it checked out by sports therapist/physio rather than a doctor

I have been to physios etc etc. I am not asking for medical advice. Just wondering is a dull knee pain for elder runners normal?

No it's not normal, any pain when you're running is not normal and is something you should get checked out.
