    I use Picasa for my photos. It allows you make them private.

    Yeah I agree, it would be easier if it was in the one place like Drive. Maybe in the future they will. It's still a handy way of backing them up and easy access to them from other devices.

    As long as you pay up. After two years, Google wil hold your files and photos for ransom. Depending on the the type of Google Drive subscription, this can be up to 600 dollar per year.
