Working in UK and Ireland, living in Ireland

Hi, I am starting a new job for an Israeli company. I will be covering both Ireland and UK. I will be living in Ireland but being paid in Sterling into my UK account. My job will entail me spending equal amounts of time in the UK and Ireland. At the moment i am living in the UK, have been for last 2 years, but will be moving back to Ireland this summer. I was wondering are there any tax implications to all of this and would i be better off renting a flat/apartment in order to keep an UK address for tax purposes? I am an Irish citizen, just to clarify.
Advice would be greatly appreciated. Or even a recommendation to a good international tax adviser?
    Thanks a mill

You will have a liability in both countries.

Usually companies will have a tax equalisation policy and operate a shadow payroll. They also have an obligation to register for paye if you are performing employment duties here.

Your employer is the first person to ask.

If they don't have something set up contact me.

I will be in contact with HR tomorrow and hopefully they will clarify some points. The company have employed a UK payroll company for pay etc. I'm not sure if they are aware of the extent of the work that i will be doing in Ireland.
Should i keep my UK address as my primary residence? And the fact that i will be working 50% of my time in Ireland matter?

The charge to tax arises because your employment duties are performed in that country. Not your address. If you have non employment assets then specialised advice is necessary and against the charter.
